Hey, welcome to SPARE SEAT
ADVENTURES FOR THE ONES WHO DON'T THINK THEY'RE OUTDOORSY ENOUGH, ACTIVE ENOUGH, OR BRAVE ENOUGH
A new brand of adventure
At Spare Seat, we're redefining adventure here in South Australia. Spare Seat isn’t just about outdoor activities—it’s an attitude. Inspired by the belief that everyone should enjoy the thrill of discovery, the excitement of new experiences, and the connections that follow, we work together to make it happen. With a helping hand and a bit of encouragement, our goal is to create inclusive outdoor experiences that feel familiar, supportive, and free from judgement.
Spare Seat is primarily focused on people at risk of social isolation and those seeking a fresh approach to wellbeing, especially when current services fall short or do not exist. While adventures with Spare Seat are not therapy, they can be deeply therapeutic—blending physical activity and mental wellbeing into 1:1 or small group experiences that provide the freedom to chat and be heard, or the space to quietly enjoy the surroundings. But your adventure shouldn't feel heavy; it's about having a laugh, trying new things, expressing yourself in your own way, enjoying good tunes during the drive, and skipping the small talk if that's not your thing.
